How Do You Fit All the Studying In?

Another question I get is how do you fit studying in if you have 4-6 tests in one week? It took me a while to realize that when it came to studying, I had to take one test at a time. Now, I am not saying that it is like that for everyone, but it is what works for me. I honestly was never like in undergrad. I would study all weekend for multiple tests in undergrad.

I had a friend who gave me the advice to take ONE test at a time. I thought he was crazy. There is no way I am going to be able to do that. I also had to realize that I was not going to know ALL the information. There is only so much you can learn and its OK that you aren't going to know all of it. Sometimes, you surprise yourself and do amazing on exams that you didn't think you would do well on. Then there are other times you studied your tush off and you didn't get a good grade at all! Welcome to PA School!

About Me

About Me
My name is Ashleigh and I am 27 years old starting the next chapter of my life. I attended PA school to become a physician assistant and graduated in December 2012. I am a daughter, a sister, a dancer, and compassionate about medicine and people. I love helping others and I can't wait to start this journey.

About this Blog

If you are just curious about a Physician Assistant (PA), or looking to be a PA, then you were just like me in the past.

I always knew I wanted to be in the medical profession, but I didn't know exactly where I wanted to go with it. Did I want to be a doctor? Not really, I knew 8 more years of school was not for me.

I will be creating a blog for the every day life of a physician assistant. From studying, to stressing, to sleeping, to crying, to helping patients, to rotations, to every day life, and how I got there and through it.

I really look forward to this and can't wait to see what happens.
